Fics like What the Soil Remembers

Peter Parker felt like the ground was about to eat him alive. He had already buried his aunt, his mentor, and his own name beneath the weight of a spell that made the world forget he ever existed. Now his life is a quiet, suffocating routine of Spider-Man, leaving flowers on headstones, and pretending that being a ghost doesn't hurt. Then Morgan Stark remembers him wondering why did everyone forget Petey? A kidnapping brings them together again. A forest forces them to stay together. And somewhere between survival, old promises, a sketchbook and everything Peter has spent years trying to bury, he begins to realize something terrifying: Maybe being forgotten isn't the same as being gone. Maybe he doesn't have to stay buried. Or: Peter Parker tries very hard to disappear. Morgan Stark has other plans.
