Guess you’ll have to tell me sometime.” For a heartbeat, he breathes there, pretends, between inhales and exhales, that the scent of Eddie’s cheap cologne, something spicy and soothing, always mixed with earthy weed, twines into the crests of the wind. Murmurs after a fashion, “I think he just misses you. And I miss you, and I miss him. And if you were here, you could roll your eyes with me and say something dumb, and I’d huff, and he’d groan, and we’d laugh. It’s all just... It’s all just broken now." --- Or, a series of Steve and Dustin moments that bring us from Eddie's death to Stranger Things 5. Or, Dustin is struggling with Steve being alive and Eddie being dead, and Steve is struggling with missing them both. Or: 2) Steve sews Dustin’s shirt up when the bullies rip it up. 3) Robin sews Steve up when Dustin rips him up. 4) Dustin can't stop worrying about Steve. 5) After their Vol. 2 fight, Steve breaks down alone. 6) Finally, they hug. 7) Catharsis and naps.
