Fics like urgent care

“Maybe we should see if a doctor can stop by,” he says at the same time she says “No no no no.” He sighs and sits beside her carefully. He rests a hand on the back of her head, and despite herself, it’s soothing. “Just to make sure nothing’s wrong,” he says in a calm, reasonable tone that doesn’t do anything but wind her up. “We can-” “It’s a period,” she says flatly. “It’s just a bad one.” “Ell-” “Do you have a uterus?” She demands. “No? Shut the fuck up then.” It’s way more aggressive than she’d usually get with him, but there’s no goddamn way she’s going to the clinic, especially just to have a doctor laugh at her for being freaked out by a period. It took her weeks to get out of the hospital in Salt Lake, and that was for the sake of creating the cure they brought back with them. Hopping right back into another one? And for some stupid period cramps? No fucking way. (the "ellie gets appendicitis" fic that no one asked for)
