Fics like the winner

"Who are you?" "I should really be asking you that question, don’t you think?" Vader surprises Obi-Wan, then, by tilting his head back and laughing, once, cold and sharp. From his kneeling stance in the sand, he manages to fix Obi-Wan with a look that he can feel even through the helmet. "Be careful not to ask questions you don’t want the answers to, Jedi." --- Instead of Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Sidious discovers a young Anakin on Tatooine. Seven years later, the mysterious Sith assassin Darth Vader, who the Jedi have been attempting to pin down for months, has suddenly and openly fled to an out-of-the-way desert planet in the Outer Rim. When Obi-Wan Kenobi is sent to investigate and capture him, he finds someone unlike anything he thought, with many, many secrets that have been long buried beneath the sand. Anakin just wants to finally be free.
