Fics like Back to Basics

In one universe, Obi-Wan Kenobi became a Padawan to Qui-Gon Jinn after the mess that was Bandomeer and ended up living through the destruction of the Jedi Order as he knows it. In this universe, Qui-Gon Jinn refuses to be swayed into taking a Padawan even after everything that happens on Bandomeer and leaves Obi-Wan Kenobi to his fate as a member of the Agri-Corps. However, his fate was to become a Jedi Master to be written down in the annals of history, not a farmer on some backwater planet in the Outer Rim. Throw in some bone-crushing pats on the back from the Force and some liberal abuse of legal and temple loopholes by a hated, barebones, and struggling Service Corps and you have the perfect mixture to throw Obi-Wan even further than he ever could have made it otherwise. Only time will tell, however, if it will be enough to overcome the Thousand Year plot of the Sith.
