Fics like It's Never Dark in Denver (Always Dark)

Finney Blake and Robin Arellano are opposites in almost every way; except for the fact both their siblings died on the same day 3 years ago. Ernesto Arellano was accused of murdering his girlfriend Gwen Blake, then committing suicide on January 4th, 2022. The deaths plaguing the town of Little Wellington caused the Arellanos to be shunned, and Ernesto to be the town’s target for years. Finney Blake, senior in high school, has a goal: find out what really happened that night while getting the credits he needs to graduate. He knew Ernesto, but more importantly he knew his sister. He knows Gwen would never stay with a guy capable of that. He has to be right; if he isn’t, it means he failed as a brother. After 2 years of grief over his sister and a well-timed school project, he re-opens the case with a vengeance. When Finney convinces Ernesto's older brother Robin to help, they quickly realize things are much darker than they thought. They must face challenges, danger wrapping tightly around them, and figure out a way to unravel themselves from this mess; not only alive, but together. Or, AGGGTM au with Finney as Pip, Robin as Ravi, and the Ghost Boys as found family.
