Fics like Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Alexandria has a way of making you forget, for a little while, that the world has ended. You’ve built yourself a life inside these walls: a home that is warm and yours, and missing exactly one thing. Daryl Dixon has survived this long on instinct, skill, and the bone‑deep belief that wanting anything—anyone—is how people get killed. He’s made a habit of keeping his distance, especially from the one person determined to break through every wall he’s built. But Alexandria is safe enough to make a man think dangerous thoughts. And keeping you at arm’s length is getting harder. He’s not sure he wants to keep trying anymore. Not a lot of plot here, I’m gonna be honest, folks - and based pretty loosely on Alexandria‑era vibes. A mix of Daryl’s POV and the reader’s. It’s my first ever fic, so apologies in advance for any sloppy writing!! :)
