He sang into the mic but didn’t hear his words coming back to him through the expensive earphones. He only heard his own cries, begging the vampire not to leave him. He heard the manic laughter echoing through the walls as the vampire allowed the fire to take him. He heard the bark of a dog outside the lair, making fun of his pain. His fingers gripped the cold metal leg of the mic stand but it was fire that he felt burning his fingers as he desperatly tried to reach into the fire. His fingers went white with pressure around the rod and still it didn’t stop the ashes from slipping through his fingers. Nothing could bring the man back. ~~~ A fic inspired by the song Your Biggest Fan, exploring Lestat’s feelings upon recording the song and how it affects his relationship with Louis.
