Fics like now you're in the stars (and six feet's never felt so far)

“This isn’t healthy, you know that?” Lightning jumps slightly, even if he expected it. Even if the husky, familiar voice has been his constant these past few nights. But despite it all, Lightning doesn’t think he’ll ever get used to seeing Doc. Especially in the state he’s in, calm and happy and alive. Skin wrinkled with age, but free of any tint of sickness. It causes a hitch in Lightning's breath every time, and he has to remind himself that it's all a dream. Or: Doc pays Lightning one last visit.
