Fics like Old Habits

Doc raised a brow. "You've never done anything else? Sorry, Hot Rod, I find that hard to believe." Another shrug ushered in a distant look in the kid's eyes. "I guess I used to do other things, maybe… I don't know, somewhere along the line I just… stopped." The final shrug shook the glazed look away and Lightning went back to his breakfast. "Too tired, I guess. Watching TV's easiest when you're tired." Only a month after Lightning moved into town, Doc discovers some of his more sedentary habits, which makes him all the more determined to open up the young racer's world to everything he's been missing. (Humanized.)
