Fics like Once Upon a Younger Year (when all our shadows disappear)

"So let me get this straight, you're saying we're trapped in a circus where a sentient AI controls everything. And, according to you, I've been here for years but don't remember any of it because I have 'amnesia'." Jax does air quotes with his fingers. "Did I miss anything?" "No, you pretty much summed it up." An episode 6 canon divergence in which a bathroom confrontation during the awards show causes Pomni to make a difficult choice and Jax to lose his memories of the circus. Friendship, betrayal, and feelings ensue as Jax tries to piece together the nature of his relationship with Pomni, who struggles to reconcile this endearingly open version of him with the one who doesn't let himself feel anything.
