Fics like Dust Motes

“Hey Jax..” Pomni starts to call out quietly but upon seeing the back of his shoulders tense further she pauses. Are you okay? She wants to ask. But her gut tells her that that might not be the best approach with Jax yet. The memory of him hunched over the buttons console in despair, raw and full of hurt comes unbidden. “...What is this place?” She asks instead, relieved to see that his shoulders slightly sagged down as if in relief. Jax cracked one eye open and glanced lazily toward the far wall. “No idea,” he said. “Just another one of those rooms.” or After the events of episode 7, Jax grows more withdrawn. When Pomni accidentally discovers the room where he’s been hiding, the two form an unexpected bond—and a new kind of trouble that extends far beyond just themselves.
