Fics like A game no one plays anymore.

Jax thought there would be a cutscene. Something like the screen fading to black, music, credits… Some stupid voice of Caine from above would tell us that we passed the game and won (or lost?) Nothing happened. Just… it became quiet. Or loud. He wasn’t even sure which of those. That obsessive circus background music disappeared, the one Jax was now hearing in his head just like that. However, rustling appeared. The ticking of a clock. Sounds… NPCs? For some reason there were more of them than usual. Okay, new realistic prank. Now some new adventure will start? Where is Caine? - The gang is leaving the circus. Now they face the painful task of reintegrating into a world that kept moving on without them.
