Fics like A Psalm in Ink

At a lazy summer pool party, someone notices the ink on Sodapop’s ribs. The gang falls quiet when Darry has the same tattoo—same date, same placement, same silent vow. It’s not for a lover or a loss. It’s for Ponyboy, who has no idea they’ve carved his birthday into their skin like a psalm only they know how to sing.
