Fics like Color Him Father

Title comes from the song Color Him Father - The Winstons which suits this fic perfectly. Every year, the last English assignment Mr. Syme gives to his class is to write a letter to their fathers for Father's Day. Over the last three years, he's written a total of five letters to his parents, all of which are buried right in front of their headstones. It's become something of a ritual for him every Mother's and Father's Day, but instead of finding it easier with each passing year, he finds it harder. This year, as Mr. Syme gives his lecture on the assignment, there's someone else Ponyboy is thinking of; someone else he's making those memories with. He writes a letter to his brother instead.
