Fics like Behind The Mask

Lauren, a well-known personal stylist in Cleveland, is famous for creating custom outfits for the city’s high society. A longtime client, a big supporter of the arts, invites her as their guest to a mysterious masquerade music fundraiser at a historic downtown mansion. The event is super secretive, with everyone’s identity hidden behind masks. Lauren is hired to design and handcraft 400 unique masks in fifty different styles and colors, each one elegant and mysterious. She delivers them to the secret guest list a week before, ensuring every wealthy, powerful, and private attendee wears her creation. Strict security—QR code entry, metal detectors, and undercover guards—keeps the event hush-hush. A flashy pianist, Elton John, performs behind her elaborate feathered mask. Lauren recognizes him and introduces herself with a sly grin. Impressed by her charm and designs, Elton chats playfully, his security quietly checking her out. Their flirty conversation, wrapped in the event’s secrecy, sparks an exciting, hidden connection.
