Fics like Starstruck Shadows: The Cost of Loving a Legend

We know that Lauren was able to land Elton John as a guest on her show, and we also know that the two of them connected on a sexual and slightly emotional level. Lauren, willing and vulnerable, was there for Elton, making sure his needs were met, while trying not to feel used and discarded. Elton struggled to physically express himself in the way Lauren desired, but he sought to reassure her with gifts and promises of brighter moments ahead. When Lauren landed in California, she was not only excited but extremely terrified. Seeing Elton again would bring joy back into her life, but the nagging thought in the back of her mind was that this would be more of what their relationship was before. Quick, unexpected, late-night, one-way visits. Could Lauren handle the pressure of being a superstar's secret toy without the returning love and affection that she desired, or would emotions bubble over and tempers flare? Would Elton finally let his wall down and accept Lauren fully into himself, sharing not only his strengths, but his weaknesses too?
