Fics like I Swear I'd Burn This City Down To Show You The Light

(Canon divergence from the end of Season 3 - Butcher doesn't get Supe powers) God, Hughie’s a good lad. That’s still about the only words Butcher can bring himself to string together about it. It would make Butcher want to be good - but that isn’t something he can do. Instead, he wants to rip apart anyone who ever wronged Hughie. He wants to be so violent, so grandiose, all for Hughie. That way, he’d never have to say the words. Butcher would burn the whole planet to the ground for Hughie. But the Temp V poisoning gets worse all the time now, and will continue getting worse for the nine fucking months he has left. He can’t do a fucking thing for Hughie in his condition. He doesn’t deserve even a passing glance from him in return.
