“Homelander,” Hughie began fretfully, watching as he began making his way over to the IV bag containing the bright blue substance. “You really, really don’t want me for this! I can’t - I can’t spy on Butcher for you. I - I won’t!” With an exasperated sigh, Homelander turned away from the IV bag. “I knew you’d say that. So, I took out a little insurance policy.” He left the room suddenly and came back in, dragging someone by the collar of their shirt. Hughie’s breath caught in his throat. “Dad?” Or: Alternate take on S2, Ep3. Homelander abducts Hughie after the incident with the whale and injects him with Compound V to fulfill his plan of taking down Butcher once and for all. An unwilling accomplice, Hughie must follow Homelander’s instructions, lest his father suffer the consequences.
