Fics like A love that falls as fast as a body from the balcony

(Townie - Mitski) Alternate Universe - Hughie, worn down by the recent decimation of Robin by A-Train right in front of his eyes, spends long, dull days at his mind-numbing job - tech support for a small scientific facility. Driven by the sense of worthlessness at not fighting for justice, Hughie starts poking into the facility he works for - and finds ties to Vought itself, right under his nose. And, in the Restricted underground levels, he finds an aquatic Supe trapped in a small, cylindrical tank. What's more, he swears he recognises that face from articles shared on those anti-Vought forums... Hughie decides he needs to buck himself up; become an infiltrator for once. For Robin. And, maybe, for the unfortunate Supe floating in the water on the other side of the bulletproof glass.
