Fics like Paper Masks

It’s easy to tear a piece of paper, right? Yet it’s almost impossible to tear a stack of papers at once. You just need to focus on the first paper on top. Go one at a time, slowly. You’ll get through to her. You’ll see. ------ “So what do you think it is?” The silhouette of the large manta ray cast a small patch of shade down between the two, where curled up on the dusty ground was an Octarian soldier. Though to call it a ‘soldier’ was perhaps taking it a little too far considering the shape the poor figure seemed to be in. Gear busted beyond use, forming bruises and cuts littering any sickly pale skin that showed. Simply put, whoever this was it was safe to say they hadn’t won whatever fight had broken out. UPDATE: This story isn't dead yet and neither am I!! I'm working hard on some things so fear not! Hopefully y'all don't mind being patient just a tad longer!
