Fics like Going Up

At first, Acht doesn’t know what to make of Pearl. Face to face with Marina again after almost a decade and she looks so different, yet completely the same—so much so that Acht almost completely misses that Pearl is an inkling. First contact with the supposed enemy, and she’s a puny thing in a giant coat who will not shut up about Marina until they rescue her. And Marina, steadfast, serious Marina, is completely smitten with her. [Pearl is the first inkling Acht has ever met. Slight spoilers for the very beginning of Side Order.]
