Fics like The Silver Archer
The Silver Archer is a legend. The commoners sing ballads about him; they tell exaggerated tales of his heroic acts; his circle grows ever larger, with ever more support. Enough to make the Sheriff send Kondo Isao's knights to put an end to him. Instead of killing him, Hijikata finds himself dragged into Gintoki's flow. And perhaps, all these tales are true.
