Fics like The Weight of Power

Post the events of Brand-New Day, after a rabid race to find her sister, Jean struggles to deal with a goalless life, her newly enhanced powers and crippling loneliness. Peter hears her telepathic call for help and sets off to find her. He knows he is the only one who can. A warrior is thrown back from an apocalyptic future with a seething rage against the mutants who wronged him and his people. He now hunts dangerous mutants in this new world, guided by a sinister force with questionable motivations. His next target is - Jean Grey, the one person who tormented him the most from back in his own timeline. Peter and Jean must reconnect and understand what they mean to each other while being hunted by a dangerous force that threatens to disrupt their lives. And Jean must examine the morality and limits of her own power. Will she become the monster that people fear from the future? Or will she become a founding member of the X-men that will guide mutants for ages to come?
