Fics like Wayward Wings

What if Valka wasn’t taken alone? When a dragon steals Valka from Berk, her infant son is in her arms. Mother and child vanish without a trace, leaving Stoick with no family, no heir, and nothing left to lose. Seventeen years pass. Berk’s children grow into hardened young warriors (older than in canon), shaped by a world where dragons are no longer a nuisance but an enemy. Astrid is seventeen, Snotlout eighteen, and the rest of Berk’s youth stand on the edge of adulthood in a colder, more ruthless island forged by Stoick’s grief. Berk changes. Stoick changes. And far beyond the horizon, a boy raised by dragons learns to fly.
