Fics like Ever wanted, ever loved

When Rei and Ingo faced off against Volo, Volo had declared that Arceus only seems to choose those who wouldn’t be missed- who the world could stand to lose with no regard to how cruel it is to its own champions. It was technically just aimed at Rei, and “Nobori” doesn’t believe it about such a lovable kid for a second, but Volo had seemed sure enough that he ends up internalizing it. The two go back to their time period and Ingo stays with who they learn is Lucas, his friends and their moms He starts posting about his Pokémon, son and trains online under the name he used in Hisui and gets his memory back over the span of a little over half a year. In that time he had become online friends with Emmet and now he’s trying to decide whether or not continuing to be the online friend with someone he thinks learned to be glad that he’s gone is cruel enough that he should stop or if it’s okay to reach for his twin as long as nodboy knows who he is. That is until Emmet opens up about how much he still misses Ingo, even after almost five years. Ingo says something stupid and now he’s taking a trip to Unova to try and right his wrong. Aka-a hurt/comfort au that I love playing with sometimes.
