Fics like And Say the Animal Responded?

The god of all creation and mastermind behind all intelligent life has a brilliant plan to solve it’s issue: The hero’s journey. A long established tradition, the intrepid young man or woman would set out and overcome unfathomable odds, make life-long friends and improve themselves and the world around them as a result. Since it is a bit short-staffed at the moment, the sole progenitor of all that is and ever will be decides to outsource its heroism to another dimension. The 15-year-old kicking and screaming about being kidnapped is perfect, after all- refusal of the call is the first step in a hero’s journey. (15-year-old Akari from our world is going on a Pokemon journey whether or not it kills her, as decreed by god)
