Fics like Death and Taxes

“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” – Benjamin Franklin Amanda Anderson is the type of woman people pray they will never meet. Millionaires and mobsters alike tremble in fear at the thought of her appearing on their doorstep. Her name is mentioned in the same breath as death. To be entirely clear, Amanda is an IRS agent. So when she discovers tax records from the same person dating back hundreds of years, she naturally assumes it’s fraud and drives down to Mystic Falls to corner this Niklaus Mikaelson and get some answers; preferably, in the form of income statements. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately?) for Klaus, the annoying tax collector hot on his tail is also his soulmate. And not just him – Elijah, Finn, Rebekah, Kol… Soon enough, the entire Mikaelson family is enamored with one human woman, much to the confusion of the supernatural world and consternation of Amanda, who would really just like Klaus to pay his back taxes, please.
