Fics like Dreams of A Past Life

Ever since Sofia Salvatore could remember, she'd had dreams of a time long past—a time in which she was called by a different name, one spoken with warmth and familiarity. Night after night, she wandered through memories that were never truly hers: celebrations lit by firelight, childish games played beneath open skies, and quiet moments shared with a family whose names and faces she never heard or saw. She'd grown up carrying the quiet grief of a life lost to time, mourning people who had lived only in her dreams and should have been dead for centuries. She never imagined that the world she mourned had never truly disappeared. When a kidnapping finally brings her face to face with one of the people she'd spent a lifetime dreaming of, she could've never imagined the importance she actually held to him and his family.
