Fics like jitterbug

Obi-Wan chuckles softly and fondly tells him, “You are one of a kind, Commander.” It’s a perplexing statement; Cody is quite literally the furthest from ‘one of a kind’ that a sentient can be. “The Kaminoans beg to differ.” Obi-Wan scoffs. He trails his hand down to Cody’s shoulder, his fingers lightly pressing into Cody’s skin. It sends a shiver down his spine; it takes everything in him to keep his body still. He’s not sure if he’s successful. “Tell me, why should I care what they have to say?” The thought of Obi-Wan going against them in his honor causes his adoration to swirl up inside of his chest, begging for release. He pushes it down, feebly answering, “Don’t let them hear you say that.” His next words come out so soft that they're almost a whisper. “Please, my dear, of all the traitorous things we’ve said today, that falls quite low on the list.” - Or, Cody’s addiction to caf (and attention to detail) accidentally save the Republic.
