Fics like first light

It’s only when Eddie’s tail wraps around his wrist—made of dark, soft fur, and long enough to brush the ground when he stands if he doesn’t curl it up—that Buck realizes that Eddie is purring. It rumbles through Eddie’s chest and into Buck’s, settling into a rhythm that rises and falls like the tide. Buck doesn’t mention it, because he’s worried Eddie might stop if he does—he’s usually quiet about his hybrid traits. Pinning his ears down when they’re at work and keeping his tail tucked away. But if Buck thinks about it, Eddie has already been much freer around him since they tumbled into bed together. or; cat hybrid eddie and a very smitten buck
