Fics like cornflower eyes

“Why are there flowers between these pages?” Eddie asks, walking over to the couch and taking his seat beside Buck, who flings his bad leg onto Eddie’s lap. “Oh,” Buck breathes softly as he leans over, tracing the soft edges of the pressed flowers with his fingers. “They were the first flowers you gave me on our first date." - or; while perusing his bookshelves for a book to read during yet another city-wide blackout, Eddie finds a memento Buck kept from their first date between the pages: a small bushel of cornflowers he picked for the blond on their first date.
