Fics like things i almost remember

"Something about the ocean feels familiar. She can't remember the last time she was on a boat— of course she can't remember, there's so little she remembers— but she cannot shake an unmistakable feeling that she knows something about it. That there is something she should be aware of here, as she gazes out of the small window to watch the sun sparkle off the waves. Like far too much else, it's just present enough for her to recognize it, but not present enough to name. It's soothing, though. Even not knowing why, she can acknowledge that. The repetitive motion of the water relaxes her, gives her a sense of safety and calm that very little else recently has. The only other time she'd felt that, that reassuring certainty, was when- 'Am I interrupting?'" Fortnight Day 8: Ocean
