Fics like Things He Wished He Knew

Fifteen years ago, Mary Fitzpatrick reached out to Tony Stark to tell him about their son, Peter. Unfortunately for everyone involved, she got Obadiah Stane instead, who quietly handled the situation without Tony ever knowing. The Parkers, however, spent the next fifteen years believing Tony had chosen to walk away. Now, Tony is climbing the stairs to the Parker apartment, ready to recruit a teenage Spider-Man to the Avengers. What should have been a simple conversation quickly became the most world-shattering revelation of his life. If only he'd known... he would have been there. Now, he's left wondering whether fifteen years is simply too much time to overcome.
