Fics like Never Meet Your Heroes

“Never meet your heroes,” Aunt May used to warn him. “They’ll always disappoint you.” Peter never imagined he’d actually meet his someday. But there he was… at his house, sitting on his couch eating his aunt’s date loaf, and the next thing he knows, he’s offering him a trip to Germany to fight Captain America. Peter thinks that whoever came up with that line has probably never met Tony Stark.
