Fics like Just 'Cause I Want You

Where the Hail Mary survives a trip through a black-hole-that's-not-really-a-black-hole on their journey to Erid, and our favorite teacher-alien duo discover a new Blip-A. An abandoned and fully-functional space station floats just outside the atmosphere of a distant celestial body, which seems to be covered in a suspicious red liquid. And if that's not crazy enough, a tree seems to be growing from the depths of that crimson sea, with a barely-breathing human man hooked onto one of its branches. It's time for Grace to be brave; after having the pressure of saving the entire world on his shoulders for so long, what was one more life? OR: Where Simon is saved by Grace and Rocky after narrowly surviving his demise on the SM-13. Simon must battle all of the emotions and trauma he hadn’t been able to process before the bloody expedition, all while dealing with survivor’s guilt and the sins of his past.
