Fics like kiss me and i might drop dead

“Shane?” He toes his shoes off and sets the groceries down on the counter. Something feels wrong here. The TV is on in the den, louder than Shane normally likes it. His things are strewn all over the place, in a way that Shane would never allow if he was well, pathologically tidy. Not dirty, not necessarily. Just… messy. The closer Ilya gets to the den, the stronger the smell becomes too. Sickeningly sweet. It’s enough to make his eyes water. Something inside of him, deep inside feels inexplicably drawn to it. To see Shane, wrapped around an omega, flushed and sweating and– But all he sees is Shane. (Shane flushed and sweating and crying through a fever that medicine won’t touch. Shane. Shane, the beta.) (Apparently not anymore.)
