Fics like No Other Reason

Shane Hollander is an Omega, one of the few Omegas in the MLH. Hockey is his main profession, but he also has a side-job of donating his eggs for use in IVF treatments of Beta couples struggling to have children. The donation process is simple: he takes hormone injections for 10 days prior to his donation to stimulate his body to produce multiple eggs, and then goes to the donation facility to have them collected. One optional but recommended part of the process is to be mated by an Alpha the day of the appointment, as that further stimulates egg production and allows the Omega to give an even more plentiful donation. Shane, wanting to do his civic duty and help the community as much as possible, always does opt to be mated before his donation. He typically has the same Alpha each time, but occasionally that Alpha is sick or out of town. All the mating Alphas at the facility are very professional and courteous, so it has never been a problem for Shane to have to have a substitute. Until today. Because, for some reason, Ilya Rozanov, one of the Alphas in the MLH and Shane’s biggest rival, has suddenly decided to work here… and is conveniently the only Alpha on duty…
