Shane gets injured on the ice. At the hospital after the game Shane and Ilya get some unexpected news. "Okay. So first thing's first, everything looks good. Your iron levels are a bit low but you should be able to manage that with small changes to your diet, and we are getting you in for an MRI in about half an hour," Dr. Bernier opens the new file and scoots slightly closer, "There was something else in your results I wanted to discuss. Your HCG and some other hormone levels are elevated." A nuclear bomb goes off. Or at least one might as well have, because Shane is suddenly left blind and deaf and feels like his skin is about to start melting off his bones. "What?" He manages to croak.
