Fics like hand me down

From behind his back, Chris reveals his old, ratty Superman logo shirt. It’s way too small for him now, but, for some reason, he’s never thrown it away. “This shirt has superpowers,” he whispers to Theo. "It keeps all the bad dreams away. It doesn’t fit me anymore, but I don’t want all the superpowers to go to waste. Do you think maybe you could look after it for me?” Theo nods emphatically. “Yes,” he whispers. He looks up at him, his tiny face sure and determined. “I can do it, Chris.” Or, Theo has nightmares. Chris works a hand-me-down shirt-shaped miracle.
