Fics like Don't Want To Pretend (That It Wasn't Real From The Start)

His mom clears her throat, squinting her eyes at Eddie. “Whose is he? Do you—Do you have a new girlfriend?” Theo giggles and looks up at her from below. “Eddie doesn’t have a girlfriend! That’s silly!” Eddie nearly chokes. Silly… Yeah, maybe so. “Uh—No. No girlfriend.” “Then whose is he, Eddie?” His dad asks. And with the comedic timing of one of those corny 90s sitcoms, Buck chooses that exact moment to walk out of the kitchen. Or: Eddie's parents make a surprise visit for Christopher's sixteenth birthday. What they didn't expect was finding a few surprises of their own. Or: Eddie is convinced the universe hates him when his parents come to visit. With them already believing he and Buck are together, Eddie decides to roll with it.
