Fics like The Thing That Should Not Be

Okay, so Dave and James aren't allowed to talk to each other, and they don't want to, because in this world, Megadeth and Metallica hate each other. So, pretty much every time either of the bands sees the other, they just throw jeers at one another and yell slurs and stuff. Dave and James are bad, and they get into plenty of fights. But the more fights they get into, the more they see other sides of each other and remember that they were once in the same band. They start acting like they hate each other, when that’s just becoming a lie. They feel like they have to since their bandmates hate each other. Credits to saltxxine for the title idea (and Metallica obviously for creating the song)
