Fics like Something Old, Something New, Something Tattooed

Bradley rubbed broad circles over Jake’s bare back, palm dragging slowly over warm skin. Jake’s hand stilled against his stomach, then lifted, stretching into the stream of light cutting through the blinds. His fingers shifted, and the diamonds on his ring caught, sparkling. Then Jake’s voice broke the quiet, low and thoughtful. “Are you gonna tell them?” Bradley’s hand faltered, stuttered still against Jake’s skin. His chest squeezed tight as Jake kept watching the way the band gleamed, almost like he was still making sure it was real. The question hung in the sunlit hush, heavier than anything else in the room. “No. I—I don’t know.” Bradley’s voice came out rough, quieter than he meant. — Or, the one where Bradley proposes, gets the yes, and then discovers that planning a wedding is a lot harder when you haven't spoken to your dads in seventeen years.
