Fics like Let's be silly together, my love

Clearly, Jonathan's presence had an influence on Ardeth. Ardeth began to allow himself to be silly. He first noticed this when he saw Jonathan, Evelyn, and O'Connell escaping from the ruins of Hamunaptra. Bay was relieved that the trio had escaped alive and defeated Imhotep, but his focus turned to the Englishman, and a plan emerged. Stealthily, Ardeth guided his camel to stand near Jonathan without anyone noticing. The man didn't understand why he was doing this, but he couldn't stop thinking about Jonathan's likely reaction. Then, at the opportune moment, he placed his hand on the Englishman's shoulder.
