Fics like Woes of Parenting

Sonic's quiet. Sonic's never quiet. It's against the very nature of who Sonic is. But here he is, sitting hushed, off to the side as the rest of his friends chatter around the television, playing video games. Shadow didn't even realise Sonic was here at first; he had been the last to arrive, and the group was quick to pull him onto the tiny couch, handing him a controller before he had a chance to scan the room. His first thought after not instantly seeing the blue hedgehog was to assume he was on a run, or perhaps he hadn't decided to grace them with his presence today. But no. Sonic was, indeed, in the room. Tucked into the corner armchair, watching his friends play, not saying a word. ------------------------------------ or Sonic's harbouring doubts about his ability to raise Tails. Shadow notices and helps, because how could he not?
