Fics like Project Halcyon

After a dispatcher working out of DTLA is brutally murdered by one of the supers on her team, SDN is desperate to fill the position. Turns out, Robert’s the perfect guy for the job. He’s practically a miracle worker, after all. The Phoenix program’s a rousing success, Shroud’s back behind bars, the Z-Team’s at the top of Torrance’s leaderboard… and with the director of the SDN offering him the promotion in person, how could he say no? So, he agrees on one condition: if he’s moving up, the Z-Team’s moving up, too. They’re in the big leagues now. Designer costumes, a broader beat, photoshoots, galas, merch… sure, a few of the SDN’s golden boys have gone rogue and the director’s suddenly desperate to get Robert —specifically Robert— back in the field, but who’s got time to worry about that when L.A.’s favorite reformed villains are making their encore debut? [If you didn’t get enough Dispatch while playing Dispatch, I wrote this for you! This fic builds on the world and puts our favorite found-family under a media microscope while a slow-burn murder mystery thrums in the background. Some minor horror/thriller elements, mostly through Robert’s POV. Includes artwork.]
