Fics like Outside the Suit

Robert doesn't know who he is outside of the suit. He feels like there's nothing for him to live for after the explosion, and he has a bad habit of carelessly throwing himself into danger, passively hoping he'll kick the bucket. His dog, Beef, is the only thing holding him back from doing the unthinkable. When he starts dispatching for the Z-Team, things start to change as he gets closer to them. They see him struggling and decide to help in the ways they can. He finds a family there that he never thought he'd have. Meanwhile, Robert is getting especially close to Flambae. He keeps finding himself both dragged and drawn towards him like a moth to flame. He struggles with the guilt of not being able to tell him that he's also Mecha Man while their friendship develops. Oh, and he might be falling for him, too, and that just makes things worse. Can he even hope that things will turn out okay?
