Fics like Schematics of Heroism

After Shroud’s fall, Robert Robertson III finds himself given the chance to step back into a world he once belonged to, only to realise just how much of it he had been surviving rather than living. He knows he can’t keep running on the survival instincts that got him through the last fifteen years. This time, he wants to do things right, even if unlearning some of his old habits turns out to be harder than fighting villains. As Mecha Man learns how to be a hero without destroying himself in the process, the Z Team watches closely, catching a glimpse of the unspoken, unseen side of heroism that no one really talks about. Or Robert gets stuck at SDN infirmary while the Z team tries to get him a bed. A continuation of Steep Learning Curve
