Fics like i'll stay awake, cause the dark's not taking prisoners tonight.

His first night in the flat after... after everything was unbearable. The house was quieter than he'd ever heard it, and the absence of his family was deafening. Not even the sound of his grandma shuffling around the kitchen was enough. Instead, his brain filled the silence with his family's screams and the tear of skin. And now, hundreds of miles away from the flat, those sounds have followed him. But so has the stench of blood, the sight of red splattered across the table, the feel of it tacky against his fingers, the taste of it sharp on his tongue. He writhes and shakes and screams.
