Fics like Like Clockwork

Cheeky hadn’t spent much time around those hulking automatons in the past and as a member of the Mobgoblins, much preferred it that way. A criminal and member of law enforcement were hardly going to be the best of friends and even though the thing was clearly broken as hell, Cheeky was still distinctly aware of what they could do – what he had seen them do to those less sneaky and agile than him. “I-“ Cheeky swallowed thickly, found himself for once at a loss for words. “I don’t understand lads. I thought the bosses said they’d get me some muscle. I didn’t- I don’t know what I’m even looking at ‘ere.-“ “Well they ain’t gonna send one of us with you, are they?” The Mobgoblin grinned and it seemed like this was a cruel joke all along. “No, our lives are much too valuable to risk pulling you out the way of a bolt, old man.” He pointed into the darkness of that last cell. “That’s what you get.” ~*~ How Cheeky met Pete and how they worked that first job together. (Set before the events of 'Lock Stock & Two Smoking Fireballs' episode 1, pretty much a made up prologue for this duo because I love them so much)
